About Trap Rock Restaurant & Brewery
Trap Rock Restaurant & Brewery is a brewpub on Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights. Harvest Restaurants opened here in 1997 as its first location. It is a relaxed brewpub with large, rustic quarters.
The microbrewery offers seasonal brews. The menu pairs them with upscale American tavern food, with lunch, dinner, dessert and brunch menus. The restaurant says an early "Excellent" rating from the New York Times shaped its reputation.
The upstairs Brewers Room has a custom-built bar, exposed wooden ceiling beams and a stone fireplace. The Garden Room overlooks a seasonal garden and has a wood-burning fireplace. Both are offered as private event spaces. That makes it an easy first stop when you are choosing where to go in town.
