About Higherground Brewing Co.
Higherground Brewing Co. is a brewpub in Hamilton, Montana, set in the old Grocery Emporium. Its website says owners Jasper Miller and Fenn Nelson opened it at 24, making them the youngest brewery owners in Montana. Both have deep roots in the Bitterroot Valley.
The brewing team built much of the space themselves. The centerpiece is a 54-foot concrete bar. Local ingredients and artwork show up throughout the room.
Mainstay beers include At Ease Golden Ale, Basecamp Irish Red Ale, Flash Flood Milk Stout and Dry Fly IPA. Morning Glory is a blackberry and acai hard seltzer. Draft wine and Montana cider are on offer too.
The kitchen makes wood-fired pizza, salads and soup, and there is a kids plate. More people have reviewed Higherground on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Hamilton on this site.
