About Border Brewing Company
From Border Brewing's own website and its Google listing, read October 4, 2026.
Border Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. Eric Martens, a chemical engineer, opened it in 2015. Its website says the brewhouse sits behind the bar, so the beer is brewed steps from where you drink it.
The year-round lineup includes Strawberry Blonde Ale, Lima Fresca Kölsch and Shiftie IPA. The website lists more than 20 rotating taps. Hard cider, hard seltzer, cocktails and zero-proof brews are on the menu too.
The patio is a big part of the draw. The website calls it dog-friendly and kid-friendly, and says kids are welcome in the taproom. Trivia runs on Wednesdays, and food trucks rotate through.
Walk-ins are always welcome, and the patio can be booked for private events. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
