About Waldmann Brewery
Waldmann Brewery is a brewery and restaurant in St Paul inside a saloon building first opened in 1857 by Bavarian immigrant Anton Waldmann and his wife Mina. The brewery says it is the oldest surviving saloon building in the Twin Cities. It was restored and reestablished as Waldmann in 2017.
The beer program starts with classic German styles, traditional malts and noble hop varieties, then adds heritage-inspired ingredients. The kitchen follows the same German American thread with wurst, spätzle, pretzels and other dishes. The biergarten extends the historic setting outdoors.
Waldmann also lists live music, brewery tours, history events and lectures. Crowlers are available from the taproom. Bad Weather Brewing Company is listed at the same location, and Fytenburg Brewing Company is 0.9 miles away.
