StormKing Brewpub and Barbecue pairs craft beer with Texas barbecue in the North Loop of Minneapolis. The bar has 10 to 12 house-brewed beers on tap, brewed true to style and sourced locally whenever possible. The draft program also pours house-made cocktails and keg wine.
Executive chef Jordan Smith decided he was ready to commit to barbecue after a trip south. He uses meat from clean sources, a giant smoker and a rub that lets the meat's natural flavors shine. House favorites include pulled pork sliders, St. Louis ribs and the beef brisket burger.
The beer list has included Czech-Mate, a Czech pilsner, St. Bridget, an American pale ale, and Luna Brown Porter, a nitro London porter. Crowlers are sold to go. The menu marks vegetarian and gluten free dishes.
Google describes counter service and carryout, and the website offers takeout plus delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats. StormKing also caters and hosts private events.
