About Portico Brewing
Portico Brewing is a brewery and taproom in the Boynton Yards neighborhood of Somerville. The Portico name dates to 2012, when it started as a locally distributed beer brand. The taproom itself opened in 2023.
Its website says the beers aim for classic styles with approachable flavors. Fuzzy Logic, Chroma, Escher and Two Point Pils were early beers, and all four are still brewed today. The tap handles are designed to look like miniature buildings, and the current ones are hand-made Lego handles that mimic a city skyline.
The taproom pours rotating beers and sells packaged beer to go. Taqueria El Barrio runs the in-house kitchen, with tacos, nachos, tortas and quesadillas. There is outdoor seating too.
Inside you can play with Legos, classic Nintendo and SNES games, cornhole and shuffleboard. Trivia runs on Wednesdays. Dogs are welcome on the patio, and all ages are welcome inside.

Walk in and pick a seat. The website says the taproom takes walk-ins Tuesday through Sunday, with open seating. Sunday closes earlier than the rest of the week.
