About Black Hat Brew Works

Black Hat Brew Works is a microbrewery and taproom in the Scotland Boulevard industrial park in Bridgewater. It opened in 2015 on Black Hat Friday. Brothers Paul and Scott Mulcahy started out homebrewing in a shed in Norton.

The flagship is Bridgewater Blonde, brewed with 2 Row and Vienna malt and Willamette and Liberty hops. The taps also run to a New England style IPA with citra and Mosaic hops, a double IPA, a blueberry kolsch and a strawberry blonde. Seasonal beers such as a pumpkin ale and an Oktoberfest lager come and go.

The taproom runs a busy calendar. Trivia is every Wednesday, and there are regular classes, comedy nights and book-and-brew mornings.
