Harpoon Brewery is the Boston home of Harpoon, a working brewery and beer hall on Northern Avenue in the Seaport District. The brewers call themselves the makers of New England's Original IPA. The beer hall pairs the feel of a European beer hall with a modern, operating brewery.
The taps pour Harpoon, UFO and Clown Shoes beer, plus Harpoon craft cider, seltzer and house wines. Limited edition pilot batches show up too. You can build a flight of four 6oz pours from any draft.
Food comes from the Harpoon Kitchen, served in the Beer Hall until last call. The menu has big pretzels with house sauces, bar pies, and hot dogs made in collaboration with chef Ken Oringer. Seating is at communal tables or the large round bar.
Tastings run seven days a week, and Monday is trivia night. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Boston on this site.

Can I take a tour or tasting at Harpoon Boston?
Yes. Tastings run seven days a week and start every hour on the half hour. They charge a per person fee, with up to 15 people per tasting, and you can book in person or online.
Does Harpoon take reservations?
Not for regular seating, which is first come, first served. Groups of 16 to 32 can book a two-hour multi-table reservation with a minimum spend.
Can I host a private event at Harpoon Boston?
Yes. The full Beer Hall holds up to 400 guests, and a semi-private beer room holds 70. Harpoon asks for at least three weeks of lead time.
Can I buy beer to go?
Yes. Packaged beer, crowlers and growlers are available to go.
