About Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House
From Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House's own website and its Google listing, read October 1, 2026.
Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House is a brewpub in Pigtown, Baltimore. Its owner and brewer, Tom Pagano, says the name comes from mixed fermentation, which uses wild yeast and living microbes. The website says it makes an Erised Flanders Red and, as far as he knows, it is the only brewery in Baltimore that does.
The Lager House part of the name is real. The website says three or four lagers are on tap at all times, including Easyspeak Pre-Prohibition Lager. Barrel-aged beers sit alongside them, and the brewery also makes hard seltzers and house-made non-alcoholic drinks.
The tables are reclaimed wood, and the shelving behind the bar was salvaged from the buildout. Suspended Brewing used to have its home in this building before it relocated. There is a full kitchen, and the website calls the place family and dog friendly.
Each week brings something to do. The website lists trivia at 7:30 on Thursdays, live music, jazz Sundays and cooking classes.
