About Camp Pennant
Camp Pennant is a waterfront bar and restaurant on Commercial Street in the Old Port, and home to Pennant Distilling & Brewing. The theme is nostalgic Maine summers: summer camp, campfires and seaside adventures. The full length bar looks out on the distillery and brewery.
Outside, a deck overlooks the Old Port's working waterfront, with heat lamps when needed. Inside, the decor leans whimsical.
A wood-burning oven turns out Neapolitan-style pizzas at 900 degrees, with fresh buffalo mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes. Expect pretzels with beer-cheese sauce, Maine seafood and a s'mores dessert with house-made marshmallow meringue. Gluten-free pizza is offered, but the kitchen cannot prevent cross-contamination for celiac disease.
House beers include Camp Light Lager, Glamping IPA, Sunset Canoe Ride Red and Bear Bag Brown Ale. Wednesdays bring live music from 4pm to 7pm, and the Old Port Pub Run meets out front on Thursdays at 6:15 pm. The Camp Store sells Pennant beer and spirits to take home.
