Metazoa Brewing Company is a pet-friendly brewery on South College Avenue in downtown Indianapolis. Since it opened in 2016, it has given 5% of its profits to animal and wildlife organizations. Its website says it was voted Brewery of the Year at the 2021 Great American Beer Festival.
The taproom always has at least 16 beers on tap. The lineup runs from true-to-style traditional ales to quirky experimental one-offs. The brewery describes its beers as easy drinking but big on flavor.
The open-concept room has skyline views. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome inside, on the outdoor patio and in an on-site dog park. The whole place is 21 and over.
The taproom hosts corporate events, puppy birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, yoga classes and DIY workshops. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Indianapolis on this site.
