Breweries in Indiana

Brewpubs lead the Indiana list. Where size is known, they slightly outnumber small microbreweries, so plenty of stops here pair the beer with a kitchen.

Indianapolis holds about a sixth of the breweries, and Fort Wayne is a clear second. Bloomington, Evansville, Carmel and South Bend follow, and the rest are spread across more than a hundred towns. Most places listed are breweries, with a few beer stores in the mix.

Sun King Brewery calls its downtown Indianapolis brewery the Mothership, and it is the only Sun King location with a tour and tasting. Mad Anthony Brewing Co in Fort Wayne opened inside a downtown restaurant that many locals still call The Munchie. Metazoa Brewing Company in Indianapolis gives a share of its profits to animal and wildlife organizations.
