About Cellar West Brewery
Cellar West Brewery is a brewery and tap room on West Baseline Road in Lafayette. Its website says it is the home of the company's brewing operations and one of East County's favorite hangouts. The company was founded in 2016 by brewer Zach Nichols.
The beer started small. The website says the first batches were tiny, made in a garage space in North Boulder, with Saison and barrel aged farmhouse ale at the center. It says those beers earned a medal at the Great American Beer Festival and a place on BeerAdvocate's list of Best New Breweries in America in the first year.
Cellar West moved to Lafayette in 2018. The site says the move added seating, an expanded brewhouse and more beer styles. The Lafayette tap room has food trucks, frequent events and a lively patio, according to the site.
Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot. The company opened a second tap room and kitchen in Erie in 2025.
