Cheluna Brewing Company is a Latin-inspired brewery and taproom inside Stanley Marketplace in Aurora. It is the only production brewery at the marketplace, and this is its one and only location. The name joins chela, Mexican slang for beer, with luna, the Spanish word for moon.
Founders Javi and Jen Perez opened Cheluna in 2016. Javi is a retired ER physician who has brewed since the late 1980s, and all the beer is made on site behind the bar. The website says Luna Nueva Export Lager won GABF gold and Orizaba Cold IPA won GABF silver.
Year-round taps include Lowrider Mexican Lager, Lupita IPA, Coco Xoco Porter and Chilango Mango Habanero Hefeweizen. There are also margaritas, a sangria hard seltzer and a non-alcoholic hibiscus lime agua fresca.
The taproom sells pizza, giant pretzels and house-made lime and chile peanuts, and you can bring food from the marketplace vendors. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Aurora on this site.

Can I bring my dog to Cheluna?
Yes, on the patio. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at the blue picnic tables on the west side of the marketplace.
Can I bring food into Cheluna?
Yes. You can bring in food from the Stanley Marketplace vendors. Cheluna also sells pizza, pretzels and house-made peanuts.
Does Cheluna show sports?
Yes. There is a 10 foot projection screen and several TVs upstairs and downstairs. The taproom hosts watch parties for local teams.

Monday is trivia night, and the taproom books live music and special events. You can hold a private party on the mezzanine or buy out the whole taproom.

Look for the colorful taproom near the south entrance of Stanley Marketplace. Order a Lowrider on a weekend, when the house-made Michelada mix is on. Weekday happy hour discounts every pint.
Check the events page on cheluna.com before you go for trivia, music and watch parties. You can take beer home in 32 ounce crowler cans or 22 ounce bombers.
