About Stereo Brewing

Stereo Brewing is an independent brewery in Placentia that mixes beer with music. Its website says it makes remixes of classic styles. Owner and brewer Rick Smets started it after a long night of listening to vinyl and drinking beer.

The website names Perfect Day IPA, a citrusy and piney nod to Lou Reed, and Blonde on Blonde Kölsch, named for the Bob Dylan album. It also lists Wall of Sound Oatmeal Stout and Robot as core beers. Hazey Jane II is a ginger beer.

The on-site tap room is 1,000 square feet. It serves tasting flights, pints and fresh beer to go in Crowlers. A restored reel-to-reel plays music, and guests can help pick the next record to spin.

Food trucks visit on a regular schedule, and the taproom hosts Wednesday trivia. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Placentia on this site.
