Pfeiffer Brewing Company is a revival of a historic American brewery, now pouring on the La Palma Beer Trail in Anaheim. The website says Pfeiffer was born in 1889 and its beers became household names for generations before the brewery closed. Pfeiffer's Famous, a classic American lager, is back as the flagship.
The tap list goes well past the lager. Pfeiffer's Oscura is a Mexican-style amber lager and Funny How? is an Italian-style pilsener. Belgian-ish picks include Saison Pfeiffer and A Little Wit of Lavender, and the hoppy side runs to Ethereal Mist, a hazy IPA, and Office Hours, a West Coast double IPA.
A rotating lineup of local food vendors and food trucks handles the food. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a leash.
The 68-person taproom can be rented for birthdays, corporate gatherings and holiday parties. Pfeiffer's Famous ships within California, and online orders can be picked up at the brewery.
