Highland Park Brewery is a taproom and kitchen on North Spring Street in Chinatown, Los Angeles. The name comes from where it started. The original brewery still runs as a small production space behind The Hermosillo on York Boulevard in Highland Park.

The brewery pours fresh hoppy beers, crisp lagers, bold stouts and mixed culture beers. Its website credits unique processes, wacky microbes and local ingredients. There are no flights, but most beers come in a full pour or a half pour.

The kitchen serves a full menu with vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian choices. The website says it uses grass fed beef from Neiman Ranch and free range chicken from Coleman Natural Farms. For non-beer drinkers there is wine, cider, seltzer and non-alcoholic drinks.

The Los Angeles brewery is family-friendly, and kids are welcome with an adult 21 or older. Well-behaved dogs on a leash can join you on the outdoor patio. Look for the Sad Cat art, a nod to the working cats that guard the grain at the brewery warehouse.
