About Faction Brewing
Faction Brewing is a brewery and taproom on Monarch Street in Alameda, on the old Alameda Naval Air Station. Its website says the taproom has unobstructed views of the San Francisco skyline and Bay Bridge. Rodger Davis and Claudia Pamparana opened it in September 2013.
The beer comes from a 20-barrel brewhouse. The range includes lagers, stouts, Belgian style beers, barrel aged beers and the occasional sour. The brewery says its true specialty is hoppy pale ales and IPAs with low bitterness.
The taproom offers 20+ beers on draft, in full pours, half pours or custom flights. There is a large outdoor patio, and indoor seating too. Non-alcoholic drinks are available.
Food trucks visit on some days, and you may bring your own food. Supervised children are welcome if they stay in their party's seating zone. Faction is one of the most reviewed breweries in Alameda on this site.

Check factionbrewing.com for the current draft list and the food truck calendar before you go. Beer to go comes in 4 packs, ordered through its online store. Bring a hat and sunscreen, because the patio does not allow shade structures.
Leave outside alcohol at home, since the brewery's license only allows its own beer on site. Groups of 35 or more can reserve, and smaller groups are seated first come, first served.
