Oro Brewing Company is a locally owned taproom in an early 1900s adobe building in Historic Downtown Mesa. It calls itself a dive-in taproom, and it doubles as a bodega. The website describes it as part Red Light District dive bar and part neighborhood lifeline.
The taps pour local and regional ales and lagers, plus Oro's own beer. Its house Foreign Extra Stout, Give Peat a Chance, is brewed with heavily peated malt for a smoky edge. There are also wine, cider, hard seltzer, cans and bottles, and you can order any beer as a Bloody Beer with V8.
All drafts sell at flat pint pricing, and pitchers are available. Food means grilled cheese and old-school snacks. The bodega counter sells cigarettes, vapes, nicotine pouches and over the counter items.
There is a pool table, and trivia runs Thursdays at 6 PM for gift cards. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Mesa on this site.
