About HooDoo Brewing Company

HooDoo Brewing Company is a neighborhood microbrewery and taproom on Fox Avenue in Fairbanks, with a Biergarten attached. Its website says it has been brewing since 2012. Google describes the beer as European-style.

The brewhouse was built for classic German, Belgian, English and American styles. The Kölsch and the IPA are always on tap when the brewers can manage it, and seasonal beers rotate through. The website also lists a Czech Pilsner, a Belgian Saison, a Japanese rice lager and a Belgian witbier.

The Biergarten is inspired by the outdoor beer areas of Bavaria and southern Germany. Firepits and a covered area keep it comfortable when the weather is less than ideal. Food trucks set up just outside.

Founder Bobby Wilken was born and raised in Fairbanks and studied brewing in Chicago and Munich. HooDoo is one of the most reviewed breweries in Fairbanks on this site.
