About Odd Man Rush Brewing
Odd Man Rush Brewing is a brewery in Eagle River, Alaska. Three friends, Ross Johnson, Brian Swanson and Reid McDonald, started out brewing in a garage. They brewed their first commercial batch in August 2015.
The name comes from hockey. All three founders are former players, and an odd man rush is the moment when more attackers than defenders charge toward the goal.
The brewers do not stick to one style. The list includes many kinds of IPA, plus stouts, lagers, kettle sours and farmhouse saisons. There is also a small barrel aging program for sours and stouts, and the taproom serves wine, cocktails and craft soda for non-beer drinkers.
Food comes from visiting food trucks, and the website keeps a food truck schedule. The taproom hosts karaoke on Mondays and Geeks Who Drink trivia on Wednesdays. The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible.
