The Copper Turtle Brewery & Taverne is a brewpub and cocktail bar in Milwaukee's Third Ward. Its website says it is the first brewery in Wisconsin to use a direct from barrel to tap system. The beer is brewed on site.
The name comes from the large copper serving tanks that hold the fresh beer. It also nods to the owners' oldest daughter, who loves sea turtles. Benjamin and Amanda Rossi founded the place in 2022.
Cocktails get just as much attention as the beer. The drink menu is described as ever-evolving, and the bartenders will build a drink to your taste, even off the menu. Wine is on offer too, along with bottled and draft beers from other breweries.
The Copper Turtle takes private parties. It also says it donates a portion of its proceeds to sea turtle conservation organizations.
