About Turtle Stack Brewery

Turtle Stack Brewery is a small independent brewery and tasting room in historic downtown La Crosse. It sits on 2nd Street South, just around the corner from The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor and across the street from the La Crosse Center. Its website says Betty the Gnome, a Belgian-style blonde ale, won a World Beer Cup Gold Award.

The taproom has nine taps, and the website says the beer is brewed on site. The selection rotates, with a focus on variety and seasonal specialties. The tap list has included a SMaSH golden ale, a Munich Helles and a New England style IPA.

Not everyone wants beer. The taproom also pours red and white wines, whiskeys, THC seltzers, non-alcoholic beers and root beer.

Food comes two ways. Von Hanson's pretzels are on hand for snacking, and carry-ins are welcome. The website also says a partnership with Three Rivers Restaurant lets you order a full menu by QR code at your table.
