About Rowland's Calumet Brewery
Rowland's Calumet Brewery is a small family brewery in Chilton, Wisconsin. Its website says the brewery was established in 1990 and was then the third smallest in the nation. It also says Chilton was the smallest city to house a brewery.
The brewery works out of a building that dates to around 1870. It once held Chilton's first fire station and city hall, and it became a tavern in 1937. The mirrors on the back bar date to 1926.
Rowland's makes standard and seasonal beers, and it began making Rowland's Root Beer in 1991. Its beer is served at 30 to 40 bars nearby. At the brewery you can order a mug, try sample glasses or take home a filled growler.
