Brewer Matt Sampson owns and runs Sway, and the website says there are no outside investors. The beers are small-batch and sit in a mid-alcohol range of 3 to 5.5%, so they are easy to keep drinking. Hops come only from Wisconsin, and some beers use hand-foraged plants like goldenrod, yarrow and spruce.
The kitchen is led by Chef Cooper Harwood and serves street-style food built around Wisconsin ingredients. A scratch bakery puts out pastries and coffee in the morning, before the taproom opens. Kids are welcome, and leashed dogs can join you in the beer garden only.
Sway will fill a 32 ounce or 64 ounce growler if you bring a clean one with its cap. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Baileys Harbor on this site.
