About Weathered Ground Brewery
Weathered Ground Brewery is a family brewery and taproom on a farm in Cool Ridge, near Ghent. Founders Sam and Aryn built a barn-like building there to house it. Tony Kelly, a local physician, is a co-founder.
Cool Ridge Lager is one of its flagship beers, a pale lager brewed to be crisp and refreshing. Haggard is a juicy IPA made with late addition El Dorado hops, and #camplife is an American pale ale made with oats and Azacca hops. The beer also reaches restaurants, bars and shops across West Virginia.
The kitchen turns out snacks, salads, sandwiches, wings and brick oven pizza. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the taproom is family friendly.
Thursday night is trivia, and live music appears on the events calendar. The entrance and the parking lot are both wheelchair accessible.
