About Screech Owl Brewing/Spent Grain Cafe
Screech Owl Brewing/Spent Grain Cafe is a brewery with a restaurant and taproom on Ralph Livengood Rd in Bruceton Mills. Roger and Crista Johnson started the brewery in 2015, after Roger spent 21 years as a truck driver. The brewery says it is Preston County's oldest craft brewery.
The beer list runs wide. Hoo's Your Daddy IPA, Class III Whitewater IPA and Class IV Zinger Hazy IPA sit alongside Trail Rider Lager, El Jefe pilsner, High Bridge Ale and Dooley's Irish Red Ale. There are also a porter, a peanut butter milk stout and a strawberry ale.
The Spent Grain Cafe cooks homemade meals from scratch. Pets are not allowed, though service animals are. The entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating are all wheelchair accessible. Screech Owl is also the most reviewed spot of its kind in town.
