Dystopian State Brewing Co. is a Tacoma brewery and event venue with 18 taps and a view over Commencement Bay. The taproom has an industrial look, with exposed beams, warm lighting and an open floor. It can hold gatherings of up to 250 guests.
The beers are brewed in house from natural ingredients, and the names fit the theme. Thought Police is an American IPA, Red Queen is a rye red IPA and Heliophant is a crisp Helles lager. Eschaton, an imperial stout, is aged in spirit barrels once a year.
Hard cider and wine are on tap too, so not everyone in your group has to drink beer. The brewery says it wants a place where families and friends from all walks of life can gather.
