Brick West Brewing is a brewery and taproom on West 1st Avenue in Spokane. It fills the Watts Automotive building, a 120-year-old space in the West End of downtown. Its website says two pairs of brothers opened it to help redevelop that area.
The brewhouse was designed around one goal. A former brewer quoted on the website says every decision was made with the aim of brewing a world class pilsner. Original trusses still span the room.
The taproom specializes in German style beers and IPAs. Brick X Brick is a West Coast IPA, and West Bound Train is a hoppy IPA with tropical pineapple and mango flavors. The website also lists a German style Pilsner.
