About Precarious Beer Project
Precarious Beer Project is a brewpub and beer hall in Merchant Square in Williamsburg. Its website says it won a Silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival the first year it entered. It also says the festival named it Brewery Group of the Year in 2022.
The story began in 2017, in a 700 square foot brewery inside the Amber Ox Public House in Colonial Williamsburg. A year later, founders Andrew Voss and Chris Cook moved to a larger home a few blocks away. The website says the beer runs from stouts and sours to lagers and IPAs.
The hall has a tasting room, an arcade with vintage games and several outdoor spaces. Guests share hall-length tables. Electric Circus Taco Bar is a street-style taqueria, and Ol' Dominion Burger covers the burgers.
Trivia runs on Wednesdays and karaoke on Tuesdays. More people have reviewed Precarious Beer Project on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Williamsburg on this site.
