About Three Leg Run
Three Leg Run is a family owned brewery in Chester, Virginia. It makes beer, wine and mead. Steve and Melissa Clayton own it, with Steve as head brewer and Melissa as winemaker.
Steve has completed the University of Richmond Professional Brewers Program. Melissa makes the wine and has studied viticulture and enology, which is the science of growing grapes and making wine.
Mead is wine made with honey. The Claytons say theirs is moderate in alcohol, carbonated and made with real fruit, and that it is served on tap like beer. They also point out that it is a gluten free option.
Bingo runs on Thursdays, and the website has a page for live music and events. It also lists a bronze for its Paper Boy brown ale at the 2022 Virginia Craft Brewers Cup. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Chester on this site.
