Refuge Coffee + Beer Garden is a beer garden and coffee shop in San Antonio, on the city's far west side. It opened in March 2024. Every one of its 16 rotating taps pours Texas craft beer, with no domestic beer on the list.
The tap list turns over weekly and runs from IPAs and lagers to stouts, sours and wheat beers, with gluten-free and non-alcoholic choices too. You can order a beer flight to sample a few at once.
On the coffee side, Refuge pours specialty coffee that it says is ethically sourced and locally roasted. Food comes from food trucks that set up on site. The patio has shaded seating built for families, and both kids and dogs are welcome.
The events calendar includes toddler time, comedy nights, live music and game nights. Refuge also rents The Studio, a private event space for up to about 50 guests, for things like bridal showers, baby showers, graduations and retirement parties.
