Saludos Brewing Co. is a small, family owned brewery on McPherson Road in Laredo. The founders were born and raised in Laredo. They started brewing in their kitchen during the 2020 pandemic, moved to a one barrel system in the garage, then opened to the public.
The tap list rotates and leans light and refreshing for South Texas heat. Werita Blonde Ale is meant as a year-round staple, and TXMX is a Mexican lager built for a michelada. Casa Blanca Wheat Ale is named after the local lake.
Some beers carry local ties. STX Stinger Honey Kolsch uses honey from La Gorra Azul Ranch, which gets the brewery's spent grain for its livestock. El Chaparro Black Lager honors the man who built out the brewery.
Google lists Saludos as a pizza restaurant too, and the website posts a full food menu. Events include live music, Paint & Pints, open mic comedy and bingo nights. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Laredo on this site.
