Breaking Brew Meadery is a mead taproom in Dallas, Texas. Its website calls it the first mead taproom in the city, pouring honey wine instead of traditional beer. The Gordon family started it after spending nights and weekends home brewing beer and cider before discovering mead.
The taproom keeps a rotating lineup of meads on tap, with new flavors coming often. Its website says the family combined the brewing techniques they already knew with mead making, and built a wide range of flavor combinations from there.
Breaking Brew also runs a beginner mead class covering the history of mead, honey and the honey bee, along with how mead is made. Groups of six or more can contact the taproom directly to set one up. The taproom also hosts a weekly Nintendo game night, a weekly Dungeons and Dragons meetup and a home brew club.
