Lazy Beach Brewing and Cafe is the south side brewery, taproom and cafe of Lazy Beach, a small Corpus Christi brewery. Every Lazy Beach beer is brewed and packaged here. Since 2015 the brewery has released at least one new style every week.
It started in 2010 with a homebrew kit in a kitchen, then moved to a garage for brewing every Tuesday. The owners say there were no breweries in town at the time, and they wanted to change that. Lazy Beach sold its first beer in June 2014.
The Southside taps run past 15 beers, from Lagerhead Mexican-style lager and Corpus Christi Blonde to cHoppy Waters double IPA and Grown Man Tears cherry sour. There is house-made root beer, hop water, hard seltzer and Texas wine too. The cafe serves food, and food trucks visit on occasion.
The patio is pet friendly, and events range from comedy nights to a monthly Second Saturday Shindig with a guided tour. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Corpus Christi on this site.

Are kids allowed at Lazy Beach?
All ages are welcome until 8pm. After 8pm, kids under 13 are not allowed.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. The patio is pet friendly, as long as your dog stays by your side.

Is this the only Lazy Beach location?
No. Lazy Beach also runs a downtown taproom on North Chaparral. The Bichon Drive location is where all the beer is brewed.

Before you visit Lazy Beach
Try something new, since a new style hits the taps almost every week. Ask your beertender about adding Scary Larry's pickle brine to a light beer.
Check the events page on lazybeachbrewing.com before you go, because shows are split between Southside and downtown. It is closed on Mondays, and Sunday hours are shorter. Plan to leave the kids at home after 8pm.
Beer Garage is about a five minute walk away. Most other beer spots are a short drive of three to five miles.
