Jester King Brewery is a farmhouse brewery on a 41-acre ranch on Fitzhugh Road, on the outskirts of Austin. It pairs beer with wood-fired pizza and a herd of 72 Nigerian Dwarf goats. The website says the ranch has hiking trails, live music and a two-mile nature trail.
Jester King makes farmhouse ales inspired by the classic farmhouse breweries of Europe. The beers use water from the Trinity Aquifer, local grains, fruits and vegetables, foraged plants, and native yeast and bacteria. The bar also pours a custom wine list, batch cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
The goats are a big part of the visit. You can join a guided goat walk, step into the goat pen for a hands-on goat session, or book Doom Metal Goat Yoga. Several acres are also a working farm.
The event hall hosts weddings, rehearsal dinners and corporate retreats, and the property has cabins at Jester King Inn. More people have reviewed Jester King on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Austin on this site.
