About Swamp Rabbit Brewery & Taproom
Swamp Rabbit Brewery & Taproom is a family owned brewery on Main Street in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. It sits across the street from the Swamp Rabbit Trail and opened in March 2014.
Ben Pierson is the owner and brewmaster, and his wife Teresa runs the administrative side. Their daughter Caitlin is the general manager. The beer list has included a Czech style pilsner, a Munich helles, an Oktoberfest marzen and a pale ale built on Cascade hops.
Cans of beer are sold to go in 16oz sizes. The taproom also serves wine, hard cider, hard seltzer, non-alcoholic beer, CBD seltzers and snacks. Food trucks stop by too.
The brewery says its American-style stout Feeling My Oats won silver at the 2018 World Beer Cup. It also says it was voted Best Local Brewery in the Best of the Upstate in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
