About Hazelwood Brewing Company
Hazelwood Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom in Lexington, South Carolina. It is built in the long-abandoned boiler room of the town's Old Mill. Its website says the brewery was founded in 2018 after an extensive reclamation project.
The website says everything is made by hand with traditional techniques. The lineup is an eclectic mix of rotating ales and lagers. A small amount of estate hops comes from the Hazelwood hop farm, which the site says has operated since 2005.
The taproom keeps a seasonal rotating tap list, plus wine and cider. The in-house kitchen, called the Boiler Room, serves sandwiches, flatbreads and bar food. The beer garden sits along the Old Mill Trail.
Trivia runs every Wednesday evening, and live bluegrass fills Thursday nights. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. More people have reviewed it than most other beer spots in town, so it is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Lexington on this site.
