About Whalers Brewing Company
Whalers Brewing Company is a brewery with a taproom on Kingstown Road in South Kingstown. Its website says it was founded in 2011 by Josh Dunlap and Wes Staschke. They brew, can and keg everything on site in the historic Palisades Mill campus.
The flagships include Rise, a 5.5% ABV pale ale, and Muse, a 7.0% ABV freestyle IPA. There is also a light lager and Drift, a hard seltzer line that starts with Cucumber Lime. The taproom rotates other beers on a regular basis, and you can get them by the glass, flight or howler, which is a 32 ounce growler.
The brewery does not serve food, and it encourages you to bring your own. Its website lists a few local spots to try. Food trucks also show up at events.
