About Mudhook Brewing Company
Mudhook Brewing Company is a brewpub on Cherry Lane in York, behind Central Market. Its website calls it York's first brewery. The beer is brewed next to the pub inside the market house.
The website describes a rotating tap list of mostly traditional styles, made under brew master Tim Wheeler. The beers are themed after the mudhook, which is an anchor. Their names are fish or sea themed.
The kitchen serves everything from standard pub fare to dishes infused with the house beer. Flights let you pick several beers to sample. Growlers and smaller Howlers go home with you, sealed with plastic tops.
Google lists the place as a pub, event venue and restaurant, and the website has a private parties page. Its events page lists a Live with Kurt night on first Fridays.
