About Coven Brewing
From Coven Brewing's own website and its Google listing, read October 4, 2026.
Coven Brewing is a brewery on Butler Street in Pittsburgh with a focus on hop-forward New England IPA. It opened in April 2022 in the space that used to house Roundabout Brewing. Its website says the team has over a decade of combined work in fermentation and service.
The taps lean hoppy, with hazy and West Coast IPAs alongside some saison and farmhouse-inspired beers. Gluten-free cider and seltzer are on the menu too. A small rotating list of Pennsylvania-crafted cider, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks rounds it out.
Food comes from food trucks and mobile vendors most nights. You can also bring your own. The patio takes leashed dogs, and children are welcome there at any time.
Weekly events include Monday Night Football on the big screen, a Magic the Gathering draft league on Tuesdays and Vinyl Night on Thursdays. Beer to go comes in cans, and the taproom fills clean growlers.

Does Coven Brewing serve food?
Coven partners with food trucks and mobile vendors for food service at the brewery most nights. You can also bring your own food. Its website suggests ordering from neighbors in Lawrenceville when no truck is there.
Are children allowed at Coven Brewing?
Children are welcome on the outdoor patio at any time and indoors until 7 pm daily. After 7 pm, everyone indoors must be 21 or older. The taproom is small, so large strollers are hard to fit.
