About Uptown Beer Co.
Uptown Beer Co. is a pub and bottle shop on SW Scholls Ferry Road in Portland. Its website lists 35 taps, so you can drink in the shop or fill a growler to go. The shop opened in 2011.
The selection is the draw. It began as a specialty bottle shop and now carries over 900 different items. They run from Northwest and domestic craft beer to specialty imports, and the site says the list suits longtime beer drinkers and newcomers alike.
Guest breweries stop in for tastings, and the site mentions weekly events and specials. Recent event listings show tastings on Thursday evenings. There is also a Mug Club and gift cards.
Kegs are part of the business too. Uptown sells kegs from its house brewery and from other Pacific Northwest breweries, and it offers keg delivery for offices and events. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.
