About Bridge 99 Brewery
Bridge 99 Brewery is a small batch brewery and taproom on Layton Avenue in Bend. Its name comes from Lower Bridge, a US Forest Service landmark also called Bridge 99. The bridge crosses the Metolius River near Camp Sherman.
The brewery has been growing since 2013. It started with 2BBL batches and moved to a 15BBL system, which pushed it into a new taproom in 2018. Most of its hops are fresh and local, from Tumalo Hop Company in Central Oregon.
One beer has a family story behind it. The website says the Bog Trotter Irish Ale recipe was handed down to Jim Allen, and Bridge 99 is the only brewery it has been shared with. Spent grain, hops and yeast go to a local ostrich rancher.
There is a full bar with cocktails, hard seltzers, ciders and wine, plus food you can order online. Well behaved kids and dogs are welcome. The week brings trivia on Monday and Thursday nights and karaoke on Saturday nights.
