About James Calley Brewing Company
James Calley Brewing Company is a brewpub on East Hobson Avenue in downtown Sapulpa, one block off Route 66. The brewery says it is the first brewery in the history of Sapulpa and the only one west of the Arkansas river in the Tulsa metro. It started as a hobby in the owners' garages.
The building dates to 1915 and was built as a livery stable. Later businesses serving the oil field used it, and remnants of that past show throughout the building.
The taproom pours a rotating list. Styles have included cream ale, American wheat, red IPA, Irish stout and brown ale. The brewery calls its tank-to-glass pour Vessel to Vessel.
A kitchen cooks to order, with pretzels and beer cheese, hot dogs, brats and flatbreads. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. The entrance, parking lot and restroom are all wheelchair accessible.
