Maumee Bay Brewing Company is a brewpub in the Oliver House on Broadway Street in Toledo, right under the High Level Bridge. It opened in 1995, and its website calls it Toledo's original craft brewery. The 15 barrel copper brewhouse is on display in the main brewpub.
The brewpub has 14 taps of beer and cider. Buckeye Beer is the historic flagship, and Fallen Timbers is the signature red ale, named for the nearby battlefield. The lagers lean German, and seasonal releases rotate through.
The kitchen makes scratch-made appetizers, burgers and wood-fired pizzas, and some recipes use the house beer. There is a brunch menu and a kids menu. Rockwell's Steakhouse shares the building.
The brewpub hosts private parties and weddings, and it caters events with its own food truck. The website mentions a haunting story tied to the building. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Toledo on this site.
