About 1803 Brewery & Taproom
1803 Brewery & Taproom is a neighborhood taproom on Harding Way East in downtown Galion. Its website calls it Galion's neighborhood hangout spot. The owners built the brewery themselves in the summer of 2019 with help from family and friends.
The wall has 12 taps. Three or four carry house beers, one is hard cider, and the rest rotate through other breweries. The house lineup has included a Scottish export ale, an Irish red, a German pilsner and Harding Way IPA.
Many of the beers are named for Galion. Harding Way IPA and Portland Way Porter take their names from local streets. Bishop's Brown Ale is named for a well known Galion figure.
The taproom also pours domestic beer, local wine and spirits from Iron Vault Distillery, just up the street. Its website says it hosts events each month, with live entertainment and food trucks. South Market Beverage Center is 0.2 miles away.
