About Wooly Pig Farm Brewery
Wooly Pig Farm Brewery is a farm brewery in Fresno, Ohio, in a converted barn on a 90-acre farm overlooking the Tuscarawas River. Its website says the beer is German-style and the farm is home to curly-haired mangalitsa pigs.
The brewers say they favor classic German lagers, which they call beer-flavored beers. Helles, Pilsner and Dunkel are the staples, and all the beers are unfiltered. Through the year they also use farm ingredients such as peaches, persimmons, pawpaws, honey and maple syrup.
The tasting room sits in the old farm barn, with rustic planks and hand-hewn beams salvaged from a collapsed outbuilding. The red barn sits on a stone foundation marked with the date 1899. The brewery's beer is made with water from a farm well.
Dogs are welcome, and the farm has two farm dogs that greet visitors. Food trucks visit the brewery on many weekends. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
