Land-Grant Brewing Company is a production brewery with a taproom and a big beer garden in East Franklinton, Columbus. It fills a 12,000 square foot factory from 1920 that once built elevators for newspaper plants. The website says Land-Grant was the first Columbus brewery to can beer on its own canning line.
Ohio State grads and old roommates Adam Benner and Walt Keys started it as a homebrew hobby. The name nods to Ohio State's status as a land-grant university. A Kickstarter raised the first 30,000 dollars to plan the brewery.
The taproom pours Land-Grant beer plus cocktails, wine, cider and non-alcoholic drinks. Food comes from a rotation of food trucks, including Ray Ray's, Buck City Sammies, Hai Poke and Tortilla. The beer garden opened in 2018 and fills up on sunny days.
The website lists USA Today naming it one of the top 38 bars in America. Pickleball courts, trivia nights and Crew watch parties keep the campus busy. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Columbus on this site.

Is Land-Grant dog and kid friendly?
Yes. The taproom page says it is dog friendly and kid friendly until 8pm. Family Sundays run on the first Sunday of the month.

Come on a nice day and head straight out back to the beer garden. Weeknights open later in the afternoon, and weekends start at 11am. Kids need to leave by 8pm.
