About Eighty-Three Brewery
Eighty-Three Brewery is a brewery on the first floor of the historic Goodyear building, just outside downtown Akron. Its website says the space is in the original Goodyear headquarters, next to the Goodyear Theater.
Chris, the co-founder and head brewer, started home-brewing in 2008. The brewery opened in 2019. Its website says he brews beers that interest him instead of following trends.
The Crushable Sandwich Lager is served with a pickle spear. The website suggests a few sips first, then putting the spear in the beer. It also lists a bronze medal from the 2022 U.S. Open Beer Championship and a gold medal from the 2024 Ohio Craft Brewers Cup.
The kitchen makes flatbread pizzas and sandwiches, and the room has pinball and board games. Trivia is on Tuesdays and bingo is on Wednesdays, both at 7pm, according to the website.
