About The New Village Brewery & Taproom
The New Village Brewery & Taproom is a 1-barrel nano-brewery in Oriental, in a historic house built in 1910. It opened in 2017, and its first beer, the Ol' Store Ale, was released on Labor Day weekend that year. Frank and Lili, a married couple who both grew up in Oriental, run it.
The taps pour the house beers alongside a guest brewery from North Carolina, which changes each week. The house list includes a brown ale, a pale ale, a black IPA, a farmhouse tripel, an IPA and a stout. The brewery says Lili's Breakfast Stout was voted Carolina Brew Scene's Best Beer in NC in 2019.
You can sit in the beer garden or relax on the front porch. Food trucks park at the brewery on most open days, and live music plays in the beer garden. The entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating are all wheelchair accessible.
